Meet Kabelo Mabiletsa born March 2nd 1987, who is a rapper and song writer best known as Kasie Boy. He grew up between Ga Rankuwa and Mmakau, started writing music by the age of 19 and never looked back. In his high school days he was doing the arts in the form of Pantsula dancing that was when he expanded to writing music.
He started in an all-boys rap group named Ghetto Force due to different views and ideas they separated then he embarked on a solo career which hasn't been an easy journey.Through his musical endeavors he met Picat from the kwaito group ALASKA from Bophutatswako Records, Pro Chiq from Public Eye Entertainment (featured in the HYPE Magazines New Comers Delight Aug/Sep issue.
His debut single titled Woza La featuring KeDotso secured him a feature in HYPE Magazine NewComers Delight Feb/Mar Issue 71.
Kabelo is inspired by his surroundings and experiences that define him personally. He comes from a place where opportunities are scarce and talent is wasted and he feels his peers are smoking their future away and that being said he says its not easy staying positive because of the environment he is from.
In the nearby future he plans on owning his music and giving back to the community by giving young and upcoming artists a platform to showcase their talents.
Ranging from song writing and rapping his natural talent has guaranteed him long term notice for this young artist. We hope to hear more of him and his music!
